Overview:
This fast track 100 e-retailer is undergoing rapid growth. With sales of circa £40 million and over 100 employees, the company predicts revenue will reach £60 million in the next couple of years. To facilitate this growth the business is seeking to make two critical appointments to its tech team.
Role:
- Measuring and improving the productivity and effectiveness of the development team
- Timely delivery of strategic projects on budget to high quality
- Recruiting, developing and retaining developers, QAs, architects and Tech Leads
- Working with stakeholders to identify needs and solutions
- Working closely with the Head of Business Systems to ensure reliability and measurability of service
Requirements:
- Hands-on technical background – able to guide and intervene on specific technology challenges
- Stint at an excellent B2C ecommerce business
- Experience in working with an under resourced team and a proven track record in hiring, retaining, growing and motivating excellent tech talent
- Passionate about software engineering, Web 2.0, ecommerce, or Agile
- Experience of IT with a commercial edge and fully understand where IT fits into the enterprise value chain
- Recent PHP development experience
- Experience (preferably hands on) of QA management and testing procedures.
